The presence Verses His voice
Hello out there. I hope all of you are doing well today. I was at a concert a few days ago. All the music was good and there was a move of God in that place. The next day while I was at work, The Lord asked me a question; " in the midst of all of all the noise, music, and screaming, did you hear me?" I had to think about that for a while. I said" well , one of the artist there spoke something to me that pertained to me, I thought that maybe it was You. His response was" that person was encouraging you, but that was not prophetic. I asked Him" what is the difference between the prophetic and encouragment, His response was " DETAILS". I want you to think about this; there is a lot of talk in the worship and amongst christians today about chasing after God. I will Chase after Him with all my heart. Jesus said in Mat 28:19 he's said" I will never leave you or forsake you". Why are we chasing after the one who is always with us? if Jesus is inside of us, Why am I searching for God? I know where He is! He is inside of me. I am His House[I cor 3:9]. If we get caught up with searching for Him, it creates in our minds that He is somewhere afar off, I assure you He is not. So lets begin: in Genesis Chapter 1, The spirit of God moved across the face of the waters; nothing happened, the situation didn't change until He spoke" let there be light". It is not enough to just want His presence, You want Him to say something. have you heard this in the scripture, " in the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy[Psalms 16:11]. The presence of the Lord is designed to bring joy, to the full until it overflows, but it is not enough to deliver a person. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith doesn't come by joy, it comes by hearing the word of God. Mat 4:4 says this" man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth[ present tense] out of the mouth of God. We don't live by joy, We live by the word of God. lets look at this a little deeper shall we? John 5:2-8: Jesus goes to the pool of Bethesda, and all of these people are laying around waiting for an angel to trouble the water. Question: If Jesus was there and all of those people were there, then why wasn't His presence enough to heal everybody? Notice that the one that got healed was the one He was talking to. His words is what brought the healing to that man, not His presence. John 20:11-16: mary runs to the sepulchre where the body of Jesus was supposed to be laid. she stoops down and look in and see these 2 angels in there. The angels[ both of them] said unto her, " Why R you Weeping"? There is something interesting in this story that I want to point out. In the first few verses of this chapter, Jesus rose from the dead. He told her that He was coming back from the dead, in 3 days. Why is she weeping? because she is walking by sight, not by faith, if she was walking by faith, she would have remembered what Jesus said, looked into the tomb, and rejoiced, not weeped. Even in the story of Lazurus, When Jesus raised him from the dead, John 10:30[ Jesus wept]not [Jesus is weeping]. Jesus got all of His weeping out of the way, and then said Lazurus, come forth. Jesus wasn't weeping while He was speaking to Lazurus. You see emotions can deminish your faith. Get all of your emotions out of the way first, then speak! Mary was with Jesus and did'nt know it. His presence alone was not enough to give her revelation that he was there. Jesus had to say something to her. When He spoke to her, that's when her faith was re-ignited, her response was "RABBONI", or master. The revelation of the master came, after He spoke, so Him just being there, is not enough, you want Him to speak Gen 3:8 the "Voice of the Lord" came walking: You see, If the Lord came walking, without saying anything, they wouldn't have known He was there. This is why the scripture uses the word "VOICE". If you'll notice, the His voice has the ability to walk. If His voice walks, and you can't hear is voice, it is because you have stop walking. Now you can undesrstand the term" For we WALK by faith and not by sight!"2cor 5:17. If you are anywhere where you can't hear His voice, get out of there because you don't belong there! If you are living by His presence alone, and not by His voice, you are still walking by sight, not faith. I listened for His voice in the middle of all that noise, and couln't hear Him. I should have never been there, and it was a gospel concert. Turn off the radio, tv, put the kids to bed, get alone with Him and listen. This will build your faith. remember, It is not enough to have His presence with you, You need a word form God, Always!
