Why do weathermen give a hurricane a human name? Who came up with this idea? God gave man dominion over all the earth. This means he has dominion over time itself and not time having dominion over him. He was also given the assignment to name everything. Before the Fall, he was naming everything correctly. In Gen 5:1, it tells us that his wifes' name was adam also. She was not called Eve until after the fall, Eve is short for evening[well i'll get into that at a later blog] . God never called her Eve! Adam named her wrong. Lets fast forward to today. A weatherman will give a hurricane a human name, but they will not name it after any inanimate objects[car,furniture etc.] What they fail to realize is when you give a hurricane a human name, you also endow it with a freewill, so that storm will hit one town and miss another. If you stop naming hurricanes, they eventually die out. Anything that is birthed in the earth and it is not named, will die out. David had a son with Bath-sheeba, and that son died 7 days later.[IISam 11,12} they were so concerned about the child dying, that they forgot to name him. Nathan the prophet didn't tell David that the child would die in 7 days. That child coul have grown up and would have been taken at a later age. If they would have named him, he would have lived longer!
